The Bahrain Kennel Club (BKC), was established in 1974 by Sheikha Danah Al Khalifa. We became an associated member in 1975 and a full member of Federation Cynologique Internationale, FCI in 2017.
BKC is a non-profit making organisation in Kingdom of Bahrain which represents the whole canine community. It’s aim/goal is to educate the public about responsible dog ownership, provide education and exciting events, where everyone can get together and learn about dogs, their health and welfare. You will also learn the importance of why dogs should be registered, and more importantly to learn how to show dogs as a sport.
We also record the transfer of registered dogs to those buying them. The BKC issues a litter registration certificate together with details of sire, dam, etc. In other words, the Club has a pedigree database going back 44 years.
The Kingdom of Bahrain is famous for it’s heritage of Arabian Horses, Salukis and native wildlife. Bahrain Kennel Club takes pride in promoting The Kingdom of Bahrain in canine International events as well as organizing the pedigrees and registration of all purebred canines since 1974
On our web page you will find important documents such as the rules and regulations, registration forms etc., guidelines that we adhere too and what we do as a registered club.
